Project leader for updating the automated material movement request system. Performed analysis, design, programming, training and support. Acted as user liaison and supervised project team. Project Analyst on Warehouse Control System (WCS) project to acquire and install the McHugh-Freeman distributed warehouse management and control system package, and interface the WCS transactions with the Compaq MIS database. Performed analysis, design, and programming.

Software project leader for Alberta Power LTD. quad VAX based SCADA system. In addition to classical SCADA functions, system implemented links to two other computer systems using X.25 and DDCMP protocols. Performed analysis, design, programming, and testing. Coordinated 7 employees. Created documentation and assured quality control. Software project leader and lead programmer for Philadelphia Electric Company SCADA system (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), a dual Micro VAX II based process monitoring and control system.

Customer Service Manager and Systems Analyst, SGM Inc.

Converted general purpose SCADA product from PDP-11 to VAX systems. Converted operating system interfaces from RSX11M to VMS. Designed and implemented electrical power Load Management, Load Prediction, remote message processing, console switching, magnetic tape interface, and historical data collection subsystems. Project leader and lead programmer for Dual VAX based distributed SCADA system for Oglethorpe Power Corp. Full responsibility for system software development in both managerial and hands-on capacity. Managed customer services department. Instructed engineer's and programmer's courses. Responsible for distribution and installation of off-the-shelf products. Supervised customer service representatives. Final responsibility for quality control of all systems shipped.

System manager for Plant Computer Control System purchased from EMC Controls. Translated engineering drawings into a working database and displays. Taught RSX11M class to plant engineers. Performed routine software maintenance on the computer system.

Designed and implemented a process control system for a large textile preparation machine using microprocessor technology . Utilized structured techniques in the analysis, design, and implementation of a production monitoring system. Performed installation and support of systems.
