Descriptive Paragraph 2

The family and I arrived at the theme park after being herded like cattle through the parking lot. In the parking garage the voices of children and families echoed off the walls. When we finally got to the gates I could hear the rollercoaster roaring down the tracks off in the distance. As we walked towards the first one we could all feel the sun beating directly down on us. The heat was so thick it was as if we were swimming through it. The people buzzed around me like a locust swarm out looking for food. I sat down in the seat of the Hulk rollercoaster and felt the sweat of the person before me cooling my back. A man quickly came up and snapped my seat belt on in a hurry and I could feel the ride start to rumble and jump forward slightly as the engines kicked on. I heard a calm lady say, “3” and suddenly I was slammed back in the seat, with my head hitting the head rest that felt like a steel plate. Then the ride slowed as it creeper upwards ever so menacingly. The wheels creaked and made a knocking noise as our altitude climbed higher. Then we hit the top and there was an eerie pause where everything seemed to stop, like right before the moment of impact in a car accident. After a split second we were launched forward in excess of 60 miles an hour, feet dangling in the wind as the coaster screamed down the track and up the twisting loop-de-loop. Voices screamed all around me, some out of fear others out of pure pleasure from the adrenaline rush this green behemoth of a coaster gives you. Then the coaster stopped, but my head was still zipping and spinning at 60 mph as if I took a spin in a blender. I then fought my way back out into the sea of people all chatting at once. It sounded like a busy city in the middle of rush hour. I had my eyes set on the next ride glistening in the sun a few hundred yards away.
