Hotspot (Image map)

• Insert a picture.
• Select the picture > View > Toolbars > Pictures > click on Rectangular or Circle or Poly icon on the right on the toolbar and draw the desired shape over the part of the picture that you want to be a Hotspot, and enter the URL of for the Hotspot link in the Address textbox.

Swap Images (Rollover)

• Insert a picture.
• Select the picture > in the Behaviors task pane (lower right hand corner) click on the Insert button > choose Swap Image from the drop down and choose the new image to replace the initial image for “onmouseover”. Click the “Restore on Mouseout event” checkbox OR
• Select the picture > in the Behaviors task pane click on the Insert button > choose Swap Image Restore from the drop down restore the initial image for “onmouseout”.
• To make it a working hyperlink: in the Behaviors task pane select the onmouseover event image > click on the Insert button > choose Go to URL and enter the link address.

Styles

• Highlight the desired text. Change its font, size, color and Expression automatically creates an Internal .Style1 which will be shown in the Apply Styles pane that is displayed in the lower right corner of Expression Web by default.
• Right-click on .Style1 in the Apply Styles pane and rename it. In this case I renamed it to .Topic.
• Now you can highlight some completely new text and then set its style by clicking its style in the Apply Styles panel.

Reset Task Panes
Sometimes you may close the Folder List, Tag Properties and Apply Styles Task panes to give you more screen design space.
To Reset your Task Panes

• Click on the Task Panes menu item
• Choose: Reset Workspace layout
