Systems Analysis and Design Class Overview
You will adopt a business so that you can find an OPPORTUNITY to improve their computer system or a computer PROBLEM to solve as you work through the entire Systems Development Life Cycle. (The business can be make-believe, but why not use this as an opportunity to help a real business and potentially help you get or keep a job.)
Basically, you will write a database type of program in VB, C++, MS Access, or SQL that will have Input, Process (you need a calculation), and Output. (Fortunately, the program does not really have to work, so do not get hung up on this part.) You will analyze this opportunity or problem and develop an Org Chart, mission statement, SWOT analysis, pseudocode, flowchart, survey, data dictionary, data relationships, data flow diagram, cost benefit analysis, bench marks, baselines, tables, forms, reports, and backup procedures as you complete the entire Systems Analysis and Design process.
